About Us and our Journey
When the economy starting taking a nose dive in Silicon Valley, way before it hit the rest of the country, churches [as usual when the going gets rough] started losing financially. The end result is usually budget cuts which eventually means staff cuts. Faced with this situation, with my full time youth ministry job being reduced to part time, my sons and I began Pixequill Web Design and Services as a part time income to facilitate me being able to remain in ministry for the time, and for a part time income for my sons, who were already working artistically and technically in their own website designs. This worked for a while. But due to a chronic illness which got worse from the stress of working 2 part time jobs that were really more like 2 full time jobs, I was forced to give up one of them, and since the church was unable to increase my hours, that made the choice for me.
Since then I have worked Pixequill, formally training in web design and business, and am now opening an online ministry resource site and store in addition to the web design, which is how we came to forming this site. It is my hope that the web design, which uses my earlier artistic talents and training, in combination with my experience and training in ministry, will combine in this site to make successful situation that will allow me to continue encouraging ministry teams and working with people indirectly or directly.
